Carpet cleaning Sefton
Sefton is quite a large area. So when we look at a map of Sefton we have to be a little precise in the areas in which we deliver our carpet cleaning service.
These are Maghull, Lydiate, Litherland, and Bootle.
As a boy which was a long time ago, I lived in Maghull so I know that area like the back of my hand. I used to deliver milk, yes those were the days when I was a paperboy. Also attended Deyes High School. But less about me, and let’s talk about delivering an expert carpet cleaning service in your area.
The first question for you is when was your carpet last cleaned?
I am hoping for a regular annual basis or a maximum of 18 months. I have cleaned carpets which are 30 years old and then asked will the carpets look like new. With a smile and a bitten lip, I would respond sympathetically and politely.
I have cleaned rugs which are over a hundred years old. However, these have been cleaned many times during their lifetime, as some rugs are heirlooms, and very expensive indeed.
Gone are the days when carpets took days to dry unless you hired a machine, you would expect several days for it to completely dry, followed by unexplained smells, which is mould growing, and dirt being attracted to the damp areas.
The machinery we use today is hot water or steam extraction, which has the backing of very powerful vacuum machines which uplift the moisture blasted into the carpet. As it is being cleaned the fabrics will be touch dry.
The hot water system is the most common system used the world over by the professionals in our field.
Other systems available are the low moisture and dry cleaning systems.
Whilst these have their place in the cleaning world, they have limited abilities when cleaning. You can get some decent results
We understand the fibres we are cleaning. Using many years of hands on experience and attending dedicated training schools over the years to enhance our skills.
The main issues we tend to address are
Stain removal Process
This may be the simple process of using cold water to flush the stain out, to reversing the chemistry of the stain to return the fibres back to its original colour and state. As part of our arsenal we carry an array of solutions that can assist us in the extraction of the more difficult problem. Before any attempt can begin we need to identify the problem. Is it blood, faeces, wine, rust, chewing gum, food. The list is endless.
What i advise all our customers to do when they suffer an accident is
1/ Blot as much as you can with a clean towel. Just place of the problem and press down. Dont try to scub. You want to limit the size of the stain.
2/ Dont use shop products. They do not work, and this is probably why you have contacted me.Instead use your home made product which is the following.
Dog had a wee?
Urine odour can in some cases quite nasty for our noses.
There are several severities of urine issues and this would be addressed at the point of survey.
Liquid sinks. When animals have accidents you need to ask quickly. Use a cloth to blot as much of the urine. Dont scrub.
When we try to extract this we will be able to see the severity using our UV torch.
We can pinpoint the area, and use a mositure reader.
Solutions on our van aid the removal of the smell and dark discolourisation. Unfortunaly if the fibres have turned yellow or orange this tells me bleaching has occured.
Carpets smell
Smelly carpets can be anything from old spillages to things dumped on the floor, but what I have experienced is that most smelly carpets are from your feet. Everyone’s feet sweats and it has to go somewhere. Carpet and rug fibres are like sponges, they hold onto and absorb moisture, just like your clothes do.
We always say to customers treat your carpets, rugs and upholstery just like that you would with your clothes.
You only wear clothes for one day, then take them off to wash.
If you don’t they become smelly, dirty, and some stains are not removable.
Now transfer that logic.
One of our go to chemicals for destroying odours has never let us down. Applied neat and liberally the moloecules are broken down, and then upon cleaning can be extracted easily.
We operate six days a week during normal working hours, but should we need to work in the evening of through the night we also provide this service pending our workload.
